Most of us in the Northern climates are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring. We’ve had the coldest winter in almost 35 years …with snow that’s piled up over our mailboxes! Oh my.
I love Spring. It’s a wonderful time of year with more sunlight, fresh air & green plants bursting forth. We spend more time outdoors & get reacquainted with our neighbors. Most of us have more energy when the calendar flips to the months of March & April. A great way to get more energy is to eat healthy & exercise… so I’ve been trying out a variety of green smoothie recipes. I’ve combined several healthy ingredients that I like & that work well together. It’s perfect for a hectic morning on the run or for a mid-day snack. This recipe is my own & my hubby loves it. It’s smooth & creamy… & I think you’re kids won’t mind it either because it has a slightly sweet taste. Plus … you’ll be getting a variety of great nutrients , vitamins A, C & E while getting lots of anti-oxidants, fiber & phytochemicals. I hope you’ll try it…& let me know what you think.
